As a financial planner, it is my duty to help clients reach their life goals, create a path for a brighter future and then execute that plan for the long-term. In light of that, I'm excited to annouce that earlier this year, I made a huge step toward achieving my own long-term goals by joining the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Joining the military was something that had been stirring in my heart and mind for quite some time, so I finally decided to take the plunge. This new adventure had me away for 3+ months, between basic training in Texas to technical training in Virginia (both places much hotter than New Jersey!)
It wasn't easy, not by a longshot. I was challenged physically, mentally and emotionally, but I don't regret it for a second. In fact, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I learned life lessons, formed new relationships, and grew in more ways than I thought possible.
Now I want to let everyone know that I’m back—better, stronger, and most of all… grateful to be serving our country.
Although I was hesitant to leave our clients this summer, I’m thankful for Jim’s support throughout the entire process. As I start this new life of dual service—both as a civilian professional and now Airman—I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
I've already been welcomed back by a few clients (thank you!) and look forward to catching up soon and working together again. Ask me to tell you a story when we do! I’d be happy to share.
Aim High!
